Summer Reading for English 11 Honors

Posted: August 25, 2016 in Uncategorized

Hey, check out who’s writing Marvel’s Black Panther . . . The same guy who wrote Between the World and Me — Ta Nehisi Coates.  Pretty cool, huh?black-panther

And for those of you who read Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers, don’t feel left out.  He’s a pretty cool cat too and we’ll be checking out his podcast, Revisionist History, during the first couple weeks.

So here’s a recap of what you guys need: read Outliers The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell or Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

Fill out the Summer Reading MWDS Sheet 11-12 and submit it to turnitin.com by Friday, September 2nd.

We’ll do some review of both books in class, but won’t be going over them in their entirety before your test on Monday September 12th, so you might want to review them on your own a bit, and if you didn’t read, you might want to bust a move.
